Entrepreneurial technologists may have the upper hand in global software competition

Article Abstract:

Many software developers in the US and in other countries rely on hackers and entrepreneurial technologists to create innovative software packages and maintain their competitiveness. These firms also take into account the effect of culture on the work ethics of their employees to promote a more harmonious working environment. This approach enables them to cope with the changes in the international software market.

Competition leads to losing

Article Abstract:

A study on the effects of competition in the US was evaluated. The claim that competition was unhealthy for the US was refuted. Competition was mentioned to be beneficial since it encourages change, thus improving services and performace in people and businesses. A good balance between competition andcooperation was said to be essential. However, too much of either would definitely be unhealthy.

Meeting International Competition

Article Abstract:

It is widely known that productivity in the United Staes has been sagging; only Great Britain has a comparably bad record. United States market penetration in technology intensive industries has dropped, while Japan's share has tripled. In deciding what should be done United States policy makers should know themselves, know the competition and know the market place they wish to serve.
