Is powertrack losing its edge in the office?

Article Abstract:

Powertrack is electrical busbar trunking designed for use in commercial buildings. Its advantages over conventional cabling are flexibility, installation speed and appearance. However, cable trunking is cheaper and, with the prevalence of underfloor trunking, appearance is becomming less important. Conventional trunking is less flexible once in use but still allows adaption to the user's requirements.

Systems that are complementary

Article Abstract:

Electrical distribution equipment is designed according to the requirements of the specific application. Often combinations of busbars and conventional cabling are used so debate about the relative merits of the two systems is irrelevant. The best system is that which is best suited to the building layout, carrying capacity and overall cost of the application.
