Funky trunking

Article Abstract:

Cables in buildings need to be effectively and attractively hidden and trunking in one solution. Trunking is available in various sizes, colours and strengths. Trunking holds all the electrical services conveniently in one place and cables can be run easily to wherever they are required. Low and extra-low voltage cables can be separated and some trunking systems have multi-compartments. The Tehalit Compact 60 system can be subdivided into six compartments and it comes in white, charcoal or light grey. Trunking can be matched to corporate colours or the colour scheme in a building.

Keep on trunking

Article Abstract:

The UK cable distribution market is set to continue growing, but only slowly. The cable distribution equipment sector was valued at 201 million pounds sterling in 1995. The data cabling market has shown the fastest growth, whilst other areas remain static, such as those used in the office construction industry. Metal trunking for 1994-1995 was the best selling product and sales are forecast to increase by about 4.7% on an annual basis until 2000, although raw materials prices may affect this estimate.
