Gear system is radical but workable

Article Abstract:

A radically new gear transmission technology was developed by Leptech based on an object-oriented perspective of transmission system and addresses the fundamental attributes of and relationships between components. The major benefit is how its gear transmission technology could be used to achieve perfect seamless shifting, without any power or torque losses and without the need for dynamic friction control or engine.

Drives cut tool changeover times

Article Abstract:

Equipment Building Systems has developed Semi-Automatic Servo Driven Core Builder, a new machine design for the building of car radiator cores using AC drives and motion control software to help reduce tool changeover times. It uses an intelligent servo drive system with automatic selection of the correct 'recipe' when tooling is switched over.
