Packaged dressings are sterilized by using e-beam treatment and the products are sold under the name of CollahitumFA. Dr. Vitaly Malyy head of the Radiation Technological Center in Zheleznogorsk and his team is expert on the use of radiation to sterilize foodstuffs, which also avoids risks from use of chemical preservatives.

Tom Robertson, retired Harwell engineer, has come up with a novel method of harvesting wind energy and turning it directly into useful heat, by giving a house a raised roof with a hole in the middle. It is a completely silent device that is protected from damage from storms and lightning strikes.
