Heavy ballast

Article Abstract:

Many contractors lost significant amount of money with the fall of Ballast. The recent case of Brican Fabrications verses Merchant City Developments (2003) provides a good example of how a subcontractor can protect himself and ensure that his payments are as secure as they can be before entering into a subcontract.
