Is your organization spooked by ghostly team performances?

Article Abstract:

An analysis of team performances in an organization focuses on the need to understand and recognize the stages in teams' cycle life. The conception stage delves on generating ideas that need to be acted on by the team. The birth of the team results from organization leadership's recognition of the need to implement changes based on the ideas generated. Adolescence is the stage where the new team explores its roles and evaluates the problem with their colleagues. Adulthood is exemplified by members pursuing a common direction towards achievements.

Organizational changes related to advanced manufacturing technology in the production area

Article Abstract:

Advanced manufacturing technologies (AMTs) are related to changes in corporate structure. AMTs such as numerical control machine tools, machining center and flexible manufacturing systems in a firm's production floor are insufficient by themselves in improving manufacturing performance. Organizational changes are needed to support successful AMTs, particularly for a group-based work establishment.
