Wireless Valley Communications Inc. of Blacksburg, VA, is offering its SitePlanner as a tool for designing all types of microcell and indoor wireless systems. The company, a spin-off of the wireless research program at Virginia Tech, is introducing the software/hardware tool suite as an aide for all aspects of wireless system design, including engineering, client presentation and bidding and actual installation. Wireless Valley's SitePlanner is also capable of modeling RF propagation and interference effects using the primary ray-tracing method began by Ted Rappaport, the firm's founder.

Micro Lambda Inc. offers its MLFI line of miniature yttrium-iron-garnet-tuned (YIG-tuned) bandpass filter technology in response to the engineering-solution requirements of portable subsystem and system designs. The MLFI YIG-tuned bandpass filter equipment is also offered by Micro Lambda amidst the market surge enjoyed by portable microwave test machines, miniature receivers and VXI instruments. Micro Lambda's MLFI range of miniature TIG-tuned bandpass filters also offer features, such as high-rejection levels at frequency ranges of 8 GHz to one GHz and low passband-loss levels.
