M and E: how much and how often?

Article Abstract:

Mechanical and electrical (M&E) work within the construction industry of the United Kingdom accounts for 22% of employees on project-based work, although a contracting market survey shows that less subcontracted labour is used than in other specialist areas. The survey concluded that half of M&E work is directly arranged by the client, 15% of the work is design and build, M&E contractors are not depended upon in the construction industry and of the 0.25 million employees in the country, about 33% are self-employed.

Property tax revolt!

Article Abstract:

Homeowners pay taxes based on the assessed value of their homes, yet assessments in Pennsylvania do not reflect the changing market. Many counties have not done assessments in 20 years. Several cases successfully appealed are discussed.
