Metals technology unit launched

Article Abstract:

Praxair Inc of Danbury, CT, has established the new business unit, called Praxair Metals Technologies, to focus on serving the global metals industry. The new company will develop and market technology, software and services related to energy conservation, product quality and productivity for steel, aluminum and other metals. It will also offer Praxair's CoJet gas-injection system.

Technology licensing business formed

The DuPont Intellectual Assets Business (IAB) was formed to sell and license intellectual property, inclduing patents, copyrights and trademarks, to companies as an alternative to their own internal development. In addition to selling directly, the IAB also works with an established, industry-recognized website, yet2.com, for licensable technologies from all over the world.
