Multi-coil design gives sensor the edge

Article Abstract:

An inductive proximity sensor is developed on three main technical building blocks, including the multi-coil system, PCB coils and a multi-functioning ASIC. Ford's Cologne plant has specified Uprox + sensors to try to reduce the 400 different sensor types currently in use at the factory and these sensors offer a high level of EMC protection and fulfill the present EN 50082-2 standard.

Water and electricity mixed to cool servers

Article Abstract:

A UK based company has developed a liquid-cooled enclosure for computer servers to cope with higher heat dissipation levels. The control cabinet manufacturer has fitted heat sinks on the CPU and heat is removed directly above the CPU with a small heat exchanger but this technology is still being tested.
