Paperless data collection speeds calibrations

Article Abstract:

Texas Instruments (TI) chose PenFact Inc's Inspect-Write/Calibration standard data-collection software and a portable Kalidor K2100 pen computer to solve its problem regarding paper form and manual data-entry system. The move was in line with TI's effort to meet the QS-9000 requirements. The advantages of using Inspect-Write/Calibration software included the ease of retrieving the list of gages due for calibration, improved accuracy and legibility of recorded data and the ease of duplicating familiar paper forms.
