Properly select and design a process dehumidifier

Article Abstract:

The design of dehumidification systems can be done through several steps. The purpose do the design project must first be defined, so that engineers can prioritize decisions in the order of their importance. For instance, there is no reason to maintain a relative humidity of +/- 1% to prevent the growth of mold on starch on a storage silo. Next, control levels and tolerances should be established to be followed by the calculation of moisture loads.

Moving bed cooler offers low energy demands

Article Abstract:

DeSpain/Babcock offers a cooler that uses groundwater as its initial source of cooling water. It is capable of cooling free-flowing powders down from temperatures as high as 1,500 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. The cooler does not require fans and only one motor closes or opens the discharge valve at the base of the unit. The unit is installed vertically, thus it provides a smaller footprint than most other standard coolers.
