Quality Progress' 1996 salary survey

Article Abstract:

A salary survey of 5,103 ASQC members conducted in April and May 1996 shows that the members earn an average of $50,480. The survey includes salary by number of years in the quality field, current position, job title, metropolitan area, region, insurance coverage, last raise and gender. The consulting, engineering, financial and business services are the highest paid industries. Higher experience, larger concentration of respondents in metropolitan areas and jobs with diversified responsibilities are related to a higher average salary with women lagging behind men.
