Servo size counts for everything

Article Abstract:

A new, compact AC servo motor with integrated driver and controller that is the same size as a traditional servo motor without a built-in driver and controls is launched by Danish company JVL. With a length of only 175mm for a 2.4Nm/750W motor, the MAC motor uses an extremely compact motor and electronics that utilize the new technologies and manufacturing methods.

Sensor detects beads, bulges and bumps

A unique, non-contact laser line sensor and integrated controller that provides high speed measurement and needs no extra programming skills to set up is presented. Micro-Epsilon's 'scanCONTROL 2810' 2D/3D laser sensor offers high speed measurements and this plug-and-play system is easy to install and integrate with existing factory automation systems.

Ball rail handles uneven mounting

Bosch Rexroth unveiled its new range of ball rail systems due to be launched globally in April 2005. Markus Hofstaetter, director ball rail systems at the firm, stated that development of the 'eLine' ball rail system focused on economy and durability.
