Use spreadsheets to estimate modeling parameters

Article Abstract:

The least-squares method for parameter estimation and its implementation through the use of spreadsheet software is discussed. The weighted-least-squares (WLSQ) method could be implemented for problems that involve non-uniformly sampled data and multiple sampling runs. Furthermore, the Runge-Kutta method could be combined with the WLSQ method for nonlinear systems.
