Software enhances automated load-pull measurements

Article Abstract:

Motorola's Wireless Subscriber Systems Group Research and Development Div. of Tempe, AZ, has created the StateSelect utility software to help users in load-state identification for use in the measurement of load-pull levels. StateSelect allows users to concurrently match devices at the third- and second-harmonic and fundamental frequency levels. StateSelect, which is compatible with ATN Microwave Inc.'s LP2 equipment for load-pull applications, also lists compliant states that satisfy the impedance requirements set by users for use in the third and second harmonic and fundamental frequencies.

Connectors fit video and cellular cables

Article Abstract:

AMP Inc. of Harrisburg, PA, has its engineers developing the new sealed F connectors series to avert failures in type-F connectors of community-antenna-television (CATV) or video systems. The new sealed F connectors are equipped with a design that makes them resistant to extreme temperature conditions, such as snow and rainfall. AMP's sealed F connectors, which come in clamp and crimp formats, are equipped with different sealing features, such as a proprietary grease-free gel or interface O-rings.
