Software helps ECA firm expand

Article Abstract:

Stephens Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Ltd has introduced a computerised accounting system and has noted very significant improvements in the time taken to carry out tasks and the application of computerised information to their forecasting and cost control. The company found that the standard accounting packages would not meet their needs so opted for Computer Foundations' Foundation 2000 tailored specifically to its business. The wages exercise that had previously taken a week was now done in a day. Contract and cost updating used to take a long time but now is very rapid and profitability predictions no longer need to be based on historical data.
