Steve Sullivan: Shaping the future of the movies

Article Abstract:

Steve Sullivan, director of R&D for LucasFilm Ltd.'s Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), conducts research in digital movie production and special effects. Sullivan collaborates with teams of artists, producers, and developers to tackle the technical challenges of the latest movie in production, as well as focuses on the future, such as generating photorealistic digital human characters or developing virtual production technique to make movies in new ways.

He has formed Gehry Technologies LLC in Los Angeles, as the chief technology officer in collaboration with other computer professionals to develop and market their tools to other architects
