Suspended sentence

Article Abstract:

Many sub-contractors feel that suspension of work is the best solution to receive payments due, under a contract. However The Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 provides guidelines which emphasis the fact that suspension should be used only after careful consideration or else it would lead to an unwelcome situation to the sub-contractor himself.

Article Abstract:

The Work at Height Regulations act will be implemented from 2004, which will change the working at heights scenario in many situations. The use of ladders and steps may not end immediately but contractors may have to consider safer alternatives.
