The Slashdot supremacy: how a Michigan geek tamed the online masses

Article Abstract:

Rob Malda's Slashdot website cherry-picks and links to sites that would interest computer afficionados. The site gets about 500,000 visitors a day and the site caters and receives around 200 to 500 stories a day but only carries 20 to 30 of them. Comments on the site are managed by moderators on the site that select only worthwhile comments.
