The battle for broadband

Article Abstract:

Swisscom AG, Microsoft Corp. is trying hard to deliver dozens of channels of video programming through a relatively low-speed broadband connection. Telephone carrier compete with cable providers using their legacy copper networks instead of upgrading with expensive optical fiber making Switzerland an unlikely front in the ongoing war between telephone carriers and cable providers.

Huawei-Cisco tests China's respect for property rights; outcome of court battle could have wide ramifications
