The impact of internationalization on the technology sourcing performance of high--tech business units

Article Abstract:

An analysis of 158 questionnaires from the R & D managers of 16 leading pharmaceutical and semiconductor business units in Germany and Japan reveals that the internationalization of technology sourcing improves the effectiveness or output performance while not affecting the efficiency or input performance.

A dimensional analysis of geographically distributed project teams: a case study

An analysis of the qualitative data collected from large organizations in the US, Japan and Europe indicates the lack of understanding of distributed systems. A theory-based model, which facilitates the understanding of the dimensions of distributed systems, is presented.
