Detailed is a listing of conferences and publications designed to provide users with more information about the use of engineering workstations and PCs. Conferences listed include the International Solid-State Circuits Conference, which demonstrates the latest workstation processors, and the Association for Computing Machinery and IEEE Design Automation Conference, which shows new workstation and peripheral electronic design tools. A number of organizations publish information and periodicals on performance benchmarks, reliability data, and the X Window System, including the National Computer Graphics Association, Reliability Ratings Inc, the X Consortium and O'Reilly and Associates Inc. The PHIGS programming Manual and IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications and Information offer information on computer graphics.
