Total protection

Article Abstract:

Residual Current Device (rcd) protection is widely used in split-load consumer units. The likelihood of direct or indirect contact with live parts is a primary consideration while including circuits for rcd protection. The alternative solutions for earth leakage protection are discussed. Since cabling for domestic installations is subject to wear down, it is worthwhile to consider rcd protection for all circuits.
