Trace heating

Article Abstract:

There is a growing market for electric trace heating systems which have the advantage of being flexible, reliable and requiring very little maintenance. The installation and maintenance of electric trace heating systems is covered by the BS 6351 standard and electrical contractors can obtain information and guidance from the Electric Trace Heating Industries Council (ETHIC). While Clayton Aniline Co in Manchester, UK, chose electric trace heating for safety reasons, electric trace heating has allowed Wego Condenser Company Ltd in Perivale, UK, to cut its manufacturing costs by almost 30%.
