U.K. ozonolysis facility onstream

Article Abstract:

Laporte Fine Chemicals of London, UK, has finished building a $1.5-million ozonolysis plant at the Middlesbrough, UK, site. The facility will primarily produce a range of intermediates that include aldehydes, ketones and acids. With the completion of the plant, Laporte Fine Chemicals will be able to provide its business partners with ozone-derived intermediates from laboratory batch scale to multi-ton production.

Cabot Supermetals to open thin films manufacturing facility

Article Abstract:

Cabot Supermetals is constructing a new thin films production facility in Etna Corporate Park, Ohio. The 90,000 square foot facility will produce tantalum and other materials that are utilized in semiconductors and thin-film deposition systems.
