Visual reality

Article Abstract:

Computer-aided visualisation has been used for planning developments in the UK. This technique can help non-specialists become involved in the planning process by communicating visual aspects of proposed changes. The technique has been carried out for a project in Colchester, England, in order for comments to be made for planned changes to the High Street. Visualization can be applied to a number of planning areas including traffic schemes, and it is likely to become more widely used as the cost falls.
