Where India stands

Article Abstract:

The National Science Foundation reported that India received one of the lowest scores among eight other Asian economies that were examined. The report was based on a 1993 research at the Georgia Institute of Technology which studied the future national competitiveness in high-tech exports of several countries, including Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the US. The countries were evaluated based on four indicators: national orientation, socioeconomic infrastructure, technological infrastructure, and productive capacity.
