Who owns streaming media?

Article Abstract:

Information about Acacia Research Corp. situated in Newport Beach, California which owns a group of patents on a method for streaming media covering nearly all aspects of streaming media like internet radio, pay-per-view movies to name a few is presented. With nearly all streaming media infringing on Acacia's patents, it is demanding royalties from all sites, initially targeting the unpopular online pornography industry and is set to win all lawsuits on streaming media.

A better bipolar transistor for wireless ICs

Markets for wireless communications chips are soaring high. A breakthrough by IBM researchers promises to unleash a new generation of low-power wireless communications ICs with the help of bipolar transistors that amplify the radio signals going into and out of the antenna.
