Climate variations and the enhanced greenhouse effect

Article Abstract:

An increase of two degrees celsius in northern Scandinavia may be attributable to solar irradiation variations, indicating that human influence may not be the source of climatic change. Information obtained from variations in tree-ring width, treeline limits and glacier size provided a history of temperature fluctuations correlating with solar activity.

Recent global warming: An artifact of a too-short temperature record?

Article Abstract:

A brief description on temperature observations from meteorological stations in the Arctic and surrounding areas is presented. The database includes temperature observations made between 1890 and 1999 and has obtained from meteorological stations in the Nordic countries.

Glacier fluctuations on Mount Kenya since ~6000 cal. years BP: implications for Holocene climatic change in Africa

Article Abstract:

Fluctuations in Mount Kenya's glaciers are used to estimate climatic changes for the African continent. Methodologies include analysis of pro-glacial lacustrine sediments, radiocarbon dating, and modeling of climate conditions.
