Determinants of consumer behavior related to organic foods

Article Abstract:

Health benefits, in two Swedish studies, were strongly related to attitudes and behavior toward organic foods than were perceived environmental benefits. A new European Union (EU) project will investigate the influences on both fresh and processed organic foods and investigate the role of moral, ethical, and affective influences on choice across eight EU countries.

Bacteria, biomineralization, and biomarker molecules - biogeochemical aspects of the evolution and impacts of life on earth

Article Abstract:

A symposium held in Stockholm to Sweden that addressed properties and processes involving materials as they influence the evolution and formation of the environment is discussed. Organic geochemistry is of great interest due to the fascinating hypothesis regarding the origin of life and for the possibility of life on other celestial bodies of our planetary system.
