Goats, trees and SALT 2: a practical agroforestry system

Article Abstract:

Simple Agro-Livestock Technology (SALT 2) is an agroforestry program created by the Mindanao Rural Life Center (MBRLC) in response to the abject poverty experienced by farmers in the Philippine uplands. The program allows farmers to integrate livestock raising with farming thus doubling their incomee. Propagation of this project all over the country would bring about financial benefits that could uplift the Philippine economy. MBRLC presented guidelines on how to start such a program.
