Great Britain is an ideal destination for travelers because it offers a wide variety of landscapes. Ireland boasts of a verdant countryside, Wales' landscape is dotted with castles, Scotland is rich with scenic lakes and mountains, while England's Lake District alone inspires poets. The combination of history and nature makes a trip to Great Britain worthwhile.

Article Abstract:

Australia's wildlife includes the kangaroo, platypus and the wombat. The country is also home to beautiful beaches, blooming wildflowers and majestic mountains. These bounties exist, however, amidst a history of environmental destruction wrought by the British colonists. An incipient environmental movement now exists.
