What kind of spatial and temporal details are required in models of heterogeneous systems?

Article Abstract:

The classification of the types of spatial and temporal complexity in ecological systems is discussed. The ecological systems are classified by the presence of heterogeneity at the scale of study, the nature of their dynamics, attributes of the patches constituting the heterogeneous system and the presence and directionality of interactions among patches.

The biology and ecology of pairs.narrow endemic and widespread plants: A comparative study of trait variation in 20 congeneric

Article Abstract:

A comparative study of trait variation in 20 congeneric pairs of narrow endemic and widespread plant species was conducted. Results suggested that herbivory levels did not differ between congeneric species.
