Predicting mass rapid transit noise levels on an elevated station

Article Abstract:

The Bangkok mass transit system model is constructed by the statistical study of parameters, which developed a noise prediction model for elevated mass rapid transit platforms. The statistical evaluation that has shown a high degree of goodness-of-fit test for the model to the observed data can be efficiently used for the projection of mass rapid transit noise in the affected areas.

The effects of heating technologies on CO2 and energy efficiency of Dutch greenhouse firms

Article Abstract:

Data Envelopment Analysis is used to compute the measures of the technical efficiency in terms of energy use and carbon dioxide emissions for different horticultural firm types using different heating technologies in Netherlands between 1991-1995. It is found that all firm types use energy quite efficiently and that they are less efficient in terms of carbon dioxide emissions.
