Community engagement challenge

Article Abstract:

Imigrants, substance misuser, people with language difficulties and radcal youths are among the harder to reach sectors in terms of promoting fire prevention. The Fire and Rescue Service needs to engage and educate these growing sectors with regards to fire prevention measures. The reasons for exclusion from the society and the impacts of the limited engagement are discussed.
