Regressor diagnostics for the errors-in-variables model - an application to the health effects of pollution

Article Abstract:

Diagnostics was used to analyze the measurementerror in results from studies on the health effects from the exposure to ozone and lead. Diagnostics is a tool that can identify the biases in regressor coefficient estimates from measurement error. Results indicate that inferences from a study that has an accurate measurement of pollution exposure are more sensitive to measurement error. Measurement error affects other variables in the equation.

Alternative Policy Instruments under Uncertainty: A Programming Model of Toxic Pollution Control

Article Abstract:

A programming model is developed to test alternative pollution control regulation. Uncertainty in toxic waste control is considered. Regulation by non market quantity, price, marketable permit and mixed price-quantity are evaluated. Market policies performance are superior.
