Article Abstract:

The water industry has been affected by consolidation, globalization and privatization in the latter part of the 1990s decade. These trends were prompted by a need to cut costs, improve profitability and provide high quality water. These trends are also expected to continue. Environmental Business International Inc VP Dan Noble has predicted that water markets and privatization will grow to a point where 80% privatization is achieved nationwide by 2050.

Article Abstract:

Calgon Carbon Corp CEO Jim Cederna is spearheading an effort to renew and expand the company's value as a leader in the activated carbon industry. Having graduated with a degree in biology/chemistry and having worked for Dow Chemical Co for over 20 years, Cederna has the background and expertise to make Calgon Carbon more of a service company. To renew and expand the company's personal touch, Cederna has spent time to go out and talk personally to Calgon Carbon's customers.
