Rotary drum installed at farm to compost horse manure

Article Abstract:

The X-ACT Systems rotary composter manufactured in Trenton, Ontario, has installed its first rotary composter at a horse farm in Troy, New York. The farm has decided to recycle horse manure and bedding and this compost will be used to grow hay for the horses, thus providing a new source of revenue from compost sales.

Digester tanks and windrows create watts and compost

Article Abstract:

Manure digester and compost facility are being built on part of the Port of Tillamook Bay (POTB) property that was the former Tillamook U.S Naval Station. The port uses digester, generator and turners to sell electricity to its local utility and organic fertilizer to the industry.
