State incentives for biomass electricity

Article Abstract:

The state renewable electricity incentives and their impact on biomass power generation focusing on three policy tools - portfolio standards, public benefit funds and net metering that are generally agreed to be the most influential factors behind the growth of renewable electricity are described. Biomass technologies help to control release of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and particulate emissions and therefore there is a great need to inform and educate communities to the benefits that biomass power generation can provide.
