Storm water treatment options at composting facilities

Article Abstract:

Washington State composting company finds most effective strategy is to capture and treat leachate separately from storm water, thus reducing contaminants and solids in the storm water to be treated. The company after years of applying different technologies has successfully employed effective and low cost techniques for separating the contaminated water from the treated water while complying with the water quality discharge limits set by the Department of Environmental quality (DEQ).

Community development financial institutions (CDFI) serve economically distressed communities by providing credit, capital and financial services that are often unavailable from mainstream financial institutions. Community development venture capital (CDVC) one type of CDFI typically consists of an equity stake in companies that offer high growth potential and in that respect it is similar to traditional venture capital (VC).
