AWWA demands full disclosure on bottled water contaminants

Article Abstract:

The American Water Works Assn has urged the FDA to push through its proposal of requiring bottled water suppliers to add water quality information on the labels of water bottles. The proposal was made based on the Natural Resources Defense Council's 1999 report indicating that 33% of tested bottled water had contaminant levels that are in violation of EPA quality standards.
