Wood recycling equipment trends and innovations

Article Abstract:

The increased diversion and recycling of the woody fraction of the waste stream has increased the sophistication in the size reduction equipment to process it. Some of the latest designs and innovations in the area of wood recycling equipments are beast horizontal grinders where it utilizes a cutting technology instead of a hammer action, Seko's constellation series of low speed, high torque shredders.

The making of compost teas-the next generation?

Article Abstract:

Compost teas are well known to be effective against a wide range of plant pathogens. Laboratory tests were conducted at the University of Tasmania, that used non-sterile commercial fish waste-wood waste compost isolate bacteria, which possibly tip balance to improved biocontrol options.

Windrow design for high rainfall conditions

Article Abstract:

The operational insights on the high moisture management that are applicable to any feedstock mixture and climate are explored. For this purpose the data collected from the study of fish and wood waste composting in Alaska, are analyzed.
