House committee on small business calls for sweeping changes to SBIR program

Proposals suggested by the House Committee on small business to revamp the Small Business Innovation and Research Program (SBIR) are reported. These include allowing participating firms greater flexibility to use venture capital funds, increasing SBIR grants and faster processing of applications.
