Republican Representative for Texas Henry Bonilla believes that support for small business is crucial to the economic development of the US. His actions have won the support of the business community. However is is criticized by the Hispanic American community as not championing issues critical to them.

Merging cultures: the combined SBC-Pacific Telesis will have the largest minority customer base of any regional phone provider in the nation

Article Abstract:

The merger of SBC and Pacific Telesis will create a market containing 55% of all Hispanics in the US. SBC has a strong record in providing bilingual services to Hispanics and promoting Hispanics to management positions. Pac-Tel will work to increase its multicultural service.
