Ushering in the Millennium, or how an American city reversed the past and single-handedly inaugurated the end-time

Article Abstract:

Salem Witch Trials Tercentenary Committee's efforts to reinterpret history and create a tourism center in Salem ignored the true meaning of the 1692 witch trials. The Committee's memorial and award do not acknowledge the responsibility of individuals for the injustices of the witch trial. The efforts of the city leaders to redefine the city's past is commercially motivated.
