Sear hears the register ringing

Sears, Roebuck and Company is making progressive waves, as it satisfies regional ethnic tastes, notably those of Hispanic customers. Much of what the company has achieved can be attributed to Sear's CEO, Arthur C. Martinez, who finally confirmed his Hispanic ethnicity in 1996 after years of denial.

Sprint Corp granted CEO Anthony Batarse Jr the 1997 Hispanic Business Entrepreneur of the Year award in recognition of his outstanding management achievements. Unlike other CEOs, Batarse believes that success in business is achieved through efficient employee management.
