A family therapy internship in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting: trainees' and supervisor's reflections

Observations are recounted on a psychotherapy student internship program, as presented by both the students and their supervisor. Opinions include the benefits of clinical training, such as increased professional confidence and broader application of theoretical learning.

The "consulting-your-consultants interview": a final narrative conversation with graduating family therapy masters' students

Article Abstract:

Techniques on conducting academic exit interviews are presented. These include the use of narrative therapy questions to enhance students' transitions from scholastic to professional practice, and obtain feedback from students to improve curricula and training.

Marital therapy: qualities of couples who fare better or worse in treatment

Article Abstract:

Research is presented on predictors of success or failure among couples engaged in marital therapy. Findings show that couples without children had the highest success rate, while remarried couples with children had the lowest.
