Are all dads equal? Biology versus marriage as a basis for paternal investment

Article Abstract:

This article examines the level of paternal investment among residential fathers in married biological parent, unmarried biological parent, married stepparent, and cohabiting father families. The authors, analyzing results from interviews, conclude biology is not as significant a factor in paternal investment among fathers as was assumed, and marriage is most influential in parental investment.
